Farewell to Tom Haines & Bill Seale

We want to let you know of changes that are being made in our music ministry. After much contemplation and prayer, we have decided to transition from two separate music ministries to one music ministry. This decision was made by our Session in a unanimous vote. Both Bill Seale and Tom Haines will be leaving their positions in the church.

We are hoping to shower both Tom and Bill on their last Sunday with cards that express our personal gratitude for their contributions to our ministry. Everyone is encouraged to write a card with a thanksgiving for their service to our congregation or a favorite memory from our music ministry.

Tom Haines’ last Sunday will be on Sunday, March 7th, when he will lead music for worship with the Visions Band. This is also the Sunday we will begin welcoming congregation members into the Great Room to attend worship in person. The service will also be live streamed for those who prefer to participate online. To ensure appropriate distancing, you will need to reserve a seat to attend worship in person. Please see information below about how to reserve a space. As part of worship, we will be providing a blessing and thanksgiving for Tom’s service to the church. We will collect cards for Tom as people enter the building. From 11 a.m. until noon on the 7th, we will have a drop-in opportunity for people who were not present in person for worship to drop off a card or say goodbye to Tom in person. You may also drop off or mail cards to the church in advance of the 7th which we will collect and give to Tom.

Bill Seale’s last Sunday will be on Sunday, March 21st.  To attend in person, you will need to reserve a seat. Livestream will be available for those who wish to participate from home. We will collect cards as people enter the building for worship. As part of worship, we will be providing a blessing and thanksgiving for Bill’s service to the church. At 11 a.m. until noon on the 21st, we will have a drop-in opportunity for people who were not present in person for worship to drop off a card or say goodbye to Bill in person. You may also drop off or mail cards to the church in advance of the 21st which we will collect and give to Bill.

If you would like to give towards a goodbye gift for either Tom, Bill, or both, you can drop off your gift during normal business hours, mail a check with a note in the memo area to the church, or give online. Please indicate how you would like your gift to be divided. If no instructions are given, we will divide contributions equally between the gifts for Tom and Bill.

There are two ways you can reserve a seat to attend in-person, indoor worship services, including March 7th and March 21st. A sign-up genius is posted on the homepage of the church website or you can call the church, 513-821-8735 extension 105 and leave a message.  Please indicate your name, the number of people in your household who plan to attend, and the date you plan to attend. We are taking reservations for in-person worship services now. The sooner you can indicate your interest in attending the better as that will allow us to make sure we can safely accommodate the number of people who would like to attend in person.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Pastor Anne anne@pcwyoming.org and Pastor Gray gray@pcwyoming.org or call their pastoral cell phone at 513-400-3257.
