Children

April 3, 2012

Children hold a very special place at PCW. We believe a crucial aspect of a child’s life is a relationship with Jesus. By making weekly worship a family priority, you impart to children the vital importance of Jesus in your family’s life.  We invite you to bring your children and worship with a community of people who love Jesus and each other. Worship is not just another “thing to do;” it is the most important thing you as a parent can do for your kids.

  • 9 o’clock Vision Service
Children are invited to sit with their family at the tables for the entire worship service.  Music, prayer, and the daily message are shared in a manner that reaches God’s children of all ages.  Worship bags are available to help the children focus their understanding while remaining with the community of faith.
  • 11 o’clock Traditional Service: Bible Discovery
Children ages 3 through 2nd Grade are invited to worship during in the Sanctuary with their families, and then are dismissed after the Children’s Message to participate in Bible Discovery.  The children continue their worship with age appropriate activities, as they hear Bible stories, play games, create crafts, pray, sing songs and learn of God’s love for them.
  • 10 o’clock Sunday School
Sunday School is available for all ages, preschool through adult, and is an opportunity to dig into God’s word and nurture our faith in Jesus Christ. This year the theme for Sunday School is Growing God’s People.  Ephesians 4:15 states, “God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and to tell it in love— like Christ in everything.”  There’s a place for everybody who wants to learn and grow. God has given us wonderful tools such as our teachers, our lessons, the Bible, and each other to help our students grow strong in their faith.  Everyone is invited!
