Sunday Morning Adult Education

The Adult Education Ministry of our congregation offers a variety of opportunities for study and learning throughout the year.
EVERY SUNDAY
Parenting 101
This group studies various aspects of the relationship between parent and child. The group rotates responsibility for “breakfast fare” and occasionally gets together socially. Parents of children of all ages are welcome to attend.
Weekday Adult Bible Study Opportunities
During the week, there are many opportunities for small group Bible Study. For more information on the groups listed below, contact the church office.
Men’s Bible Study Groups
Monday, 7 a.m. at the church
Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. at the church
Friday, 6:30 a.m. offsite
Women’s Circles
Evening Circle, 7:00p.m. on the first Tuesday, location varies
Day Circle, noon of the third Monday at the church
Adult Fellowship Opportunities
Throughout the year, we offer many opportunities for fellowship for our members and friends. Among them is the Diner’s Club where members gather over a meal at another member’s home. Other activities include the annual Advent Dinner, the Fall Festival, and Dixieland Sunday. More information is posted on these activities as they are scheduled.
Adult Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways for adults to get involved at the Presbyterian Church of Wyoming! Volunteers are needed to teach Sunday School, serve on committees, assist in the kitchen, sing in the choirs, help in the office – just to name a few. Some opportunities are “as needed” and others are on-going. If you would like to get involved, contact Donna Hoffman, our volunteer coordinator.
Women’s Retreat
All women are invited to a two day overnight retreat on Nov. 13th & 14th at the Bartel’s farm. Join other sisters in Christ as they fill their cups with life, laughter, and love! Anyone who is thirsting for a more intimate and life inspiring time of prayer and community should come and be filled! The cost of the retreat is $40. More Information is coming soon.
Super Wednesdays!
Super Wednesday will run each Wednesday from September 9th through Dec. 9th (except Nov. 26th).
Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. this year for all ages! Dinner for adults and the little ones will last until 6:30 p.m. After dinner a variety of opportunities are available for all ages!
Opportunities For Adults on Super Wednesday
“Be The Church” Study Group — 6:30
Adults are invited to join in this 4-week discussion group about the church-wide theme, Be the Church. Small Groups begin on Sept. 16th. A New Class will begin on October 14. Look for details in the weekly bulletin.
Wyoming Ringers
The PCW Adult Handbell choir practices on the third floor each Wednesday night. New ringers are always welcome. Contact Mary Pennycuff for more information. Wyoming Ringers usually perform during the 11 o’clock service on the third Sunday of the month.
Visons Band Practice
PCW’s Visions Band begin their rehearsals in the Great Room after dinner. Contact Michael Tash for more information. The Visions Band provides all the music for the 9 o’clock Sunday morning worship service.
Common Grounds
This new area IS NOW OPEN on the lower level. The area, formerly known as the youth space, will be an inviting and inspiring place for adults to come and hang out for an hour after dinner. Stop by for a cup of coffee, a soft chair, and some adult conversation. WiFi is available too.
