Second, the 11:00 service will be the 25th Dixieland Service.  As it has been for the previous 24 Dixielands, it is going to be a high spirited, energetic, unique and fun worship experience!

Both of these opportunities are great chances to invite your friends to come along – have a friend whose children are going back to school soon?  Invite them along?  Know someone who would be touched and encouraged by the Dixieland service, invite them!

There will be 2 projects that we will be involved with:
• Lockland City School – We will be landscaping, painting and cleaning.
• College Hill Academy – A new Cincinnati Public School opening this fall. We will work with the teachers and help unpack their new classrooms.

We’re expecting more than 150 people to join us for the day. We’ll be starting at 8:00 at Northminster Church for a light breakfast and devotionals. We’ll carpool to the work sites by 8:30. At 1:00 we’ll be heading back to The Grove Park (behind the Springfield Township Community Center and Brueger’s Bagels on Winton Rd.)

You can sign up in the gathering area or e-mail Denise at dkoesterman@cinci.rr.com. Sign up today! Last day to sign up is this Sunday, August 1st. Grab a water bottle and join us for a day where our army will swoop in and show the love of Christ to our neighbors. You might even get snapped by the official photographer or videographer!

For worship this Sunday, we’ll be celebrating the great week of Vacation Bible School as our services take on a decidedly High Seas sense.  We will only have two services this Sunday instead of our normal three.  We’ll hold a traditional service in the Sanctuary at PCW at 8:00 and then a combined service with Wyoming Baptist Church at 10:00 at the Wyoming Rec Pool.  At both services, we’ll hear from Pastor Steve Rhodes about VBS and we’ll hear the kids from the week singing and helping lead the service at the pool.  Its going to be a great time!

Then Sunday evening, we’ll gather in the Great Room at PCW at 6:00 to hear from our Cambodia Mission Team.  Our high school students and several adult volunteers just returned from nearly two weeks serving in Cambodia.  They will be sharing their stories, photos, and videos of the many ways they saw God all around them.  It was a life changing experience for them all and it  will be an important time for us all to gather to celebrate and share.
